Exhibition – Space for Development and Intercultural Exchange

When facing death, we are suddenly overcome by the truth that ones life is
ephemeral, and at the end, we are nothing more than corporeal existence.

We witness the moment when all their earlier cultural and intellectual existence
leaves and all but the decomposing body is left. The organs cease to work and
the flesh becomes burrowed by maggots. Death fades away the dignity of
humanity and brings it back to the status as just an organism. Paradoxically,
facing death is the moment when we become aware of life all the more keenly.
While we are witnessing death, we sense that our own lungs!are breathing, our
heart is beating, blood is being pumped through our veins, and the organs
disgorge vomit in our stomach.
This show presents this duality of death with the medium of maggots. As
maggots are born in a dying or dead body, they consume the last bit of the living
remains. Death, strangely enough, leads to the power of life.

  1. Howdy! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m
thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Appreciate it
